Résumé Optimizer
Downloading your résumé as PDF, Word or plain text
Download a text-based PDF, an editable Word file or plain text for application forms.
Updated September 19, 2026
On the last step, Preview & download, you can get your tailored résumé as:
- Résumé PDF — real, selectable text, which is what applicant tracking systems need.
- Word (.docx) — if you want to keep editing it yourself.
- Plain text — for application forms with a "paste your résumé" box.
There is also Copy plain text for an application form, which copies it to your clipboard.
File names
Files are named like First_Last_Role_Resume.pdf — no dates and no company name, so the same file is safe to send anywhere. If your résumé has no name on it, "Candidate" is used.
Cost
Downloading does not use credits. The credit was spent on the optimisation itself.
Downloading later
Past optimisations are kept in your account. Tracked applications linked to an optimisation also offer the résumé and cover letter as PDF or Word.
