Résumé Optimizer
What "evidence" means — and why we never invent experience
Every claim in a tailored résumé must trace back to your own résumé. Gaps are shown to you, not filled in.
Updated September 19, 2026
A résumé that claims something you haven't done gets found out — at the interview, in a reference check, or after you start. So the optimiser works from evidence.
The evidence ledger
Before any rewriting, the optimiser goes through each requirement in the posting and looks for proof in your résumé, quoting the lines it found. Each requirement is marked:
- Proven — your résumé shows it directly.
- Equivalent — you've done the same thing under another name.
- Partial — some of it.
- Absent — nothing in your résumé supports it.
The posting itself never counts as evidence.
What the rewrite may and may not do
It may reword, reorder and emphasise what you have. It may not state anything the ledger didn't find, and it never invents or changes employers, job titles, dates, degrees, certifications or numbers.
Checked in code afterwards
The audit then checks every employer, title, school, degree and certification in the result against your original. Anything that doesn't trace back is flagged as a critical issue.
Unverified additions
Sometimes the rewrite shows a capability the posting needs that your résumé doesn't spell out. Those lines stay on the page, worded as what you can do, and are listed under Unverified additions — confirm before you send and marked in red in the editor. They are yours to decide: keep what reflects your experience, edit or remove the rest. The red marking is for you only and never appears in the downloaded document. Figures, employers, titles, dates and credentials are never added.
Gaps
Requirements you don't evidence are listed as gaps so you can decide what to do — add real experience you left out of your résumé, or address it in your cover letter or interview.
