Accessibility

Built to be used by everyone, and honest about where it isn’t yet.

Our aim is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA. We have not claimed that we meet it: this page says what we have done, how we checked, and what is still missing. Last reviewed 16 October 2026.

What works today

Keyboard
Pages are built from real links, buttons and form fields, so they take keyboard focus. A “Skip to content” link is the first thing you tab to, and a clear ring shows where you are.
Screen readers
Pages use headings, landmarks and labelled controls. When you move to another page inside the app, the new page’s title is announced and focus moves to its main content.
Contrast
Text meets the WCAG AA contrast ratio (4.5:1, or 3:1 for large text) on every page we scanned. Where the brand’s red was too light for small text, we use a deeper shade of it.
Zoom and text size
The page can be zoomed, and the small uppercase labels follow your browser’s text-size setting. Layouts rearrange for narrow screens.
Motion
If your device asks for reduced motion, animations and transitions stop. A loading spinner keeps turning slowly, so it never looks frozen.
High contrast
We have added styles for Windows high-contrast mode and for systems that ask for more contrast: cards, buttons and focus rings keep their outlines, and secondary text gets darker.

What is not good enough yet

  • We have not yet had the product tested by people who use screen readers or switch devices every day. Automated tools and our own checks find only part of the problems, so there will be some we haven’t found.
  • Downloaded PDF résumés contain real, selectable text so applicant tracking systems can read them, but they are not tagged for screen readers. The Word and plain-text downloads are the better choice if you rely on one.
  • Live Interview Assist works in real time, from audio and a live transcript. It is built to be glanced at during a call, so it is not a good fit for screen-reader use while you are also listening to the interview.
  • We have not yet walked through every page using only a keyboard, and the high-contrast styles above were written to the standard but not yet tried on a real device in those modes.
  • The résumé previews are pictures of a page layout. The same content is in the editor and the downloads, in text form.

How we checked

  • Automated scans with axe-core (WCAG 2.2 AA and best-practice rules) on the public pages and on every signed-in page of the app, including the home page, optimiser, jobs, auto apply, applications, interview coach, live interview, wallet and help center.
  • Contrast worked out directly from the colours on screen for text the scanner could not decide on.
  • Pages viewed at phone width, looking for content that overflows or is cut off.
