Getting started
Your first tailored résumé, step by step
From a blank account to a downloaded, tailored résumé in five steps.
Updated September 19, 2026
1. Sign in
Enter your email and type the 6-digit code we send you, or use Continue with Google where it is offered. Signing in
2. Add your résumé
Open the Résumé Bank, press Add Resume, and upload a PDF, Word (.docx) or text file — or paste the text. Include everything, even older roles: the optimiser can only use what it can see.
3. Refine it
Press Refine on the new card. This turns the raw text into a structured master record in about a minute, and it does not use credits. What Refine does
4. Optimise it for a job
Open Optimize, use Import from bank (or paste your résumé), paste the full job description, and press Optimise my résumé. It usually takes two to three minutes and costs 1 credit. Keep the page open until it finishes.
5. Review, choose a template, download
Read the rewrite and edit anything you want. Pick a template, then download a PDF, a Word file or plain text. You can also generate a cover letter on the last step.
Always read the result before you send it — you know your history better than any model.
