Auto Apply
What each Auto Apply status means
Ready to send, Submitted, Needs you and the rest — and what "yours to send" means.
Updated September 30, 2026
Applications
- Ready to send — prepared: a tailored résumé and cover letter are waiting.
- Submitting… — being sent right now.
- Submitted — sent. It only counts as sent when the employer's page confirmed it.
- Needs you — it stopped and handed the application back. The reason is shown. Why
- Skipped / Failed — not sent; the card says why.
Who sends it
Each ready application also says where it's heading:
- "Auto-apply can submit this one for you." — an open employer form.
- "The employer's system needs an account, so this one is yours to send."
- "Listed on a job board that hands off to the employer — expect to send this one yourself."
- "Auto-apply will try, and hand it back if the form needs you."
In Prepare only mode, every application is yours to send.
While a run is going
Postings move through Found, Tailoring… and Prepared. Each run shows the postings it touched with their rank, best first. Others show:
- Already prepared — from an earlier run; never prepared or charged again.
- Retrying — a step is being tried again.
- Set aside — it couldn't be prepared; the card says why.
- Not your titles — it didn't match the titles you chose.
- Closed — not charged — the posting closed.
- Not in your top picks — it matched, but ranked below the ones prepared this run (your campaign's jobs per run); not charged.
- Below the quality bar — its fit was too low to be worth preparing; not charged.
Runs
A run that stops making progress for several minutes is marked stalled, and the button changes to Resume so you can carry on where it left off.
