Staying signed in and signing out
You stay signed in on a device for up to 30 days. Sign Out ends the session on that device.
Updated September 22, 2026
After you sign in, you stay signed in on that browser for up to 30 days, then you're asked to sign in again.
Sign Out ends the session on the device you're using. Other devices where you're signed in stay signed in until their own sessions end or you sign out there.
Extension and desktop app
The browser extension and the desktop app have their own connections to your account, separate from your browser session. Remove the extension from Chrome to disconnect it, and disconnect desktop devices on the Connect this device page.
If you think someone else has access
Sign out wherever you can, and tell us through Talk to a person so we can end the other sessions for you.
