Cookies and browser storage

A sign-in cookie, a remembered-email cookie and a few browser settings. Analytics only if you accept it; no advertising trackers.

Cookies

  • jm_session — keeps you signed in. It can't be read by page scripts and lasts up to 30 days.
  • jm_last_email — remembers the email you last signed in with so we can fill it in. It lasts a year and stays after you sign out; Not you? in the sign-in window clears it.

Browser storage

A few things are kept in your browser to make the app work: résumés added while signed out, your chosen optimisation strategy, whether you've seen the welcome tour and the job-board tips, the help chat conversation for the current tab, and whether the app has already tried to pair the extension in this tab.

Analytics: your choice

The first time you visit, we ask whether we may use Google Analytics to count which pages are used. Until you accept, nothing is sent to Google and no analytics cookies are set. You can change your answer at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of any page; turning analytics off deletes its cookies.

What we don't use

No advertising cookies or advertising trackers. Stripe sets its own cookies on its checkout page when you pay.

Full details are in our Cookie Policy.
