Browser extension
Installing the browser extension
Add it from the Chrome Web Store in Chrome or Edge and it updates itself. A manual download is there for other Chromium browsers.

The JobMatch extension is in the Chrome Web Store. It works on a computer, in Chrome or Edge.
The quickest way
- Open the install page. It is also behind the Get extension chip at the top right of the app whenever the extension isn't installed.
- In Chrome press Add to Chrome, then Add extension. In Edge press Get for Edge; if Edge asks, allow extensions from other stores, then confirm.
- Come back to JobMatch while signed in. The install page turns green and the extension pairs itself. How pairing works
Installs from the store update automatically.
Other browsers
- Brave, Arc and Opera can use the manual download below.
- Firefox and Safari aren't supported yet. Each needs its own packaging, and the Chrome extension will not install there.
- Phones and tablets can't use the desktop extension.
Manual install, without the Chrome Web Store
Use this only if the store isn't an option. Download the file from the install page and unzip it to a folder you'll keep. Open the extensions page from the browser's ⋮ menu, or type chrome://extensions into the address bar at the very top of the browser (not Windows search). Turn on Developer mode, press Load unpacked and choose the folder that contains manifest.json. Pin JobMatch from the puzzle-piece menu.
Updating an unpacked extension
An extension loaded with Load unpacked does not update itself. When JobMatch offers an update:
- Download and unzip the newest extension from the install page.
- Replace the contents of the folder Chrome already loads, or remove the old JobMatch entry and load the new folder.
- Open chrome://extensions and press Reload on JobMatch.
- Refresh application and job-board tabs that were already open.
The install page shows the version Chrome currently has and the newest version available.
