Capturing a job from LinkedIn, Indeed and other boards

Job boards like LinkedIn block automated reading, but you can read them — so the extension reads the posting in your own browser and sends it to JobMatch.

Where it works

LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, ZipRecruiter, Dice, Wellfound and Built In. On those sites the JobMatch capture panel appears on its own.

How

1. Open the job posting.
2. Highlight the job description, or press Find it for me.
3. Press Capture.

You'll see "Saved to JobMatch:" with the title and company, and a Choose a résumé → button. It needs at least 200 characters of description.

Where the job goes

• Applications — the job appears at the top with Next step: choose the résumé to tailor. This is where you carry on.
• Saved Jobs on your Dashboard — a copy, like any job you save from search.

Each job is saved once per link, even if you capture it twice.

Carrying on

Press Choose résumé on the job (or Choose a résumé → in the capture panel). JobMatch scores every résumé you have against the posting — free and instant — and marks the Best fit. Pick that one or another, tick Also write a cover letter if you want one, and press Tailor with this résumé. Tailoring costs the credits shown and takes a minute or two on JobMatch's side, so you can close the page.

When it's ready, the card shows your files and match score. Press Apply to open the posting; the extension fills the form and attaches the tailored files. Prepare-only applications wait for you to submit; an authorised Auto-submit campaign continues only through a complete, unblocked form.

On another computer, or after a crash

The posting, its link and the full description are saved to your account the moment you press Capture. Sign in to JobMatch anywhere and it's waiting in Applications.

If it can't tell which job it is

Select just the job description — not the whole page — and capture again.
