Refunds
Automatic refunds for failed work
If a paid optimisation or cover letter fails or times out, the credits go back to your wallet automatically.
Updated September 22, 2026
You should never pay for an error. When a paid action fails — including when it runs out of time — the system refunds its credits to your wallet before it tells you about the failure.
What's covered
- Résumé optimisations, including in batch and Auto Apply.
- Cover letters, including in batch and Auto Apply.
The refund appears in your wallet history as "Refund: … failed", usually with a short reason. Each charge can only be refunded once.
What isn't a failure
A result you don't like isn't a failure — the work was done. Edit the result, try the other strategy, or regenerate.
Don't see it?
See I was charged but don't see a refund. Cash refunds of purchased credits are a separate matter, covered in our Credits & Refund Policy.
