Setting up

On Interview Coach:

  1. Choose your résumé source: your whole Résumé Bank, one résumé, a résumé optimised for a job, or a file (PDF, Word or text).
  2. Paste the job description. It's required — the questions come from it. Choosing a résumé optimised for a job fills it in for you when it was saved.
  3. Pick a coaching mode and press Start Interview.

Stages

Interviews run through seven stages: HR / Recruiter Screen, Hiring Manager, Technical / Skills, Behavioral / Culture, Cross-Functional / Panel, Executive, and Offer & Negotiation. Entering a stage prepares a varied bank of questions based on your résumé and the job description. Next question works in both answer modes and stays within that stage. A counter shows how many prepared questions you have visited. When the set is used up, Prepare more questions builds another non-repeating set. Done with this stage marks the current stage complete and saves that milestone without moving you ahead. Next stage completes the current stage and moves on only when you choose; New session finishes and saves the current practice.

Each question

  • Answer in writing or out loud.
  • Next question moves to another question from this stage’s prepared bank.
  • Submit to get a score, strengths, improvements and a Coach Answer. How scoring works
  • Flip to Coach and press Reveal Coach's Answer to see a model answer written from your history.

Ask the Coach

Type any question — how to handle a salary question, how to explain a gap — and press Get Expert Answer.

Cost and saving

The Interview Coach does not use credits. New practice sessions save to your account automatically, including submitted answers, coach answers, feedback, scores and Ask the Coach advice. Check the saved indicator; if a save fails, keep the page open and press Retry save.

Saved sessions and downloads

Open Saved sessions on the setup screen. Choose Continue on an unfinished session to restore its transcript and current stage, even after reopening the page. Sessions saved after this update also restore their prepared question bank and draft answer; older sessions prepare fresh, non-repeating questions when you continue. Save and leave waits for your latest progress to reach your account, then returns to setup without finishing the session. Review session is available for both unfinished and completed sessions. Download notes exports a readable Markdown file; Download with metadata exports JSON containing the full transcript and question links. New session finishes and saves the current practice before returning to setup. Practice from before session storage was added cannot be recovered after the old page was closed.

Use coaching in Live Interview

Press Use in Live Interview to bring the session's résumé context and job description into Live Interview. You can also select up to three saved sessions in Live Interview setup. Each answer carries its original question, interview stage, audience, role, company, topics, résumé references and matching terms. Preparation uses those links, and related live questions retrieve the relevant coached answer and feedback. Coaching drafts are reference material, not independent proof that an event occurred. Your résumé still grounds career claims.

Importing coaching does not skip intelligence preparation: Test and Start remain locked until the pack reaches 100%. Candidate content is not sent to the public search provider.
